It enables engineers to create accurate physical and analytical models, automatically apply gravity, wind, and seismic loads, and perform fast frame and finite element analyses. The software supports code-based design across multiple international standards; covers beams, columns, slabs, shear walls, and foundations; and includes checks for drift, deflection, and punching shear. ProtaStructure 2016 also streamlines documentation with automated drawings, bar schedules, and quantity take-offs, and offers BIM interoperability (e.g., via IFC) to improve coordination and change management from concept through construction documents.
